    It’s true! THEY’RE USELESS XD
I bought a Japanese phrase book about 2 years ago and when I speak to my Japanese friend over skype I sound like a robot - it doesn’t flow or sound like a conversation should! ):
But from talking to her regularly I’m always picking up new Japanese vocab and it’s ace (:

By the way your videos are funny XD

Even though we bashed text books in the video, I think there IS a time and place for them, mainly when used in tandem with language tutoring or classes. For self-study, text books definitely are not the best option.

Great video guys. Although I did not learn much (any? ) Japanese in it, it was a lot of fun. Especially the cut-scenes of the yotta nihonjin. Great…

Wish I knew someone who spoke Japanese to practice with! I live in quite a small town, I don’t think there is anyone here who speaks it.

Don’t have any text books, don’t think I’d find them that useful. I do find iPod Apps useful though, as they allow me to hear the sounds of the words & are more interactive.

    First of all, great show!!!!!!

Second of all, you guys mentioned that one could learn best through immersion. Do you guys know of any websites for Japanese music and television, which could serve as immersion for me?

Hey guys, i’ve only just come across you by chance, and I think I could actually start learning more Japanese with your help! I’ve already started out using textbooks, and I’ve been watching Japanese Drama series for about a year now (although with the english subtitles you dont pay much attention to Japanese audio, but with the common words such as tadaima and okaeri its easy to pick up).

Your videos are really funny, especially the cut scenes haha! Cant wait to watch them all.
